Hello internet diary.
I’m just sitting here sleepless, typing this on my phone, 7:00 AM in the morning. I’m just thinking about our world. About humans. How they assess others. How we have evolved the past 3 decades, the ones that I can rightfully remember. I find it weird that people always have a constant battle with others, a never ending assessment of good and bad in people. How we seem to segregate and put people in categories. How we reduce them and label them according to their beliefs. How easy it is to throw in a statement that might hurt someone. How negligent we have become of other people’s feelings. All that under the guise of being progressive, righteous, and moral.
It’s tiring to see people picking on each other, fighting, making it hard for others.
Is this part of being an adult? Have I become too self-conscious about it?
Have we forgot how to truly love? Unconditionally, wholeheartedly, without prejudice, or intentions to stir up even the slightest of annoyance or sadness? Is the point to stay relevant, having the last say? Will it ever stop?
